Julian Mock is a guitarist, composer, and innovator. Classically trained by his music teacher parents beginning at the age of three and influenced by all manner of sound and music, his experimental style stems from a drive to constantly discover new forms of sonic expression.

 

Julian has played in a wide range of ensembles, from classical and heavy rock to free form fusion and folk. In 2002 he composed, produced, and recorded Sound Travels, an album of original solo compositions for steel stringed guitar.

Julian is currently preparing a new album of his latest compositions for solo classical (nylon stringed) guitar. The pieces are unusual in their rhythmic and harmonic complexity and profound in their eerie, emotive beauty.
